Your Outback Trip
Australia's outback starts somewhere 'beyond the black stump'. Exactly
where that is, is a little hard to pin down on a map. But you'll know you are
there when the sky yawns enormously wide, the horizon is unnervingly
empty, and the sparse inhabitants you encounter are incomparably resili-
ent and distinctively Australian. Globalised sameness is yet to fully infilt-
rate the outback and so the enduring indigenous culture, unique wildlife
and intriguing landscape awaits the modern day adventurer.
