walls are adorned with contemporary Australian art and the inspired menu features

This rowdy bar is lined with long
benches, with plenty of chances to meet other travellers. It has pool tables and live music
nightly (usually a touch of twang).
Tali Bar

(Sails in the Desert; 11am-midnight)
The cocktails ($18 to $21) at this bar include locally
inspired mixes like Desert Oasis. The piano gets a workout most nights during the season
from 8pm.
Bunya Bar

This is a rather characterless hotel lobby bar, but it
knows the importance of well-chilled beer, and the cocktails are several dollars cheaper
than at Tali Bar.
