Nitmiluk Tours SCENIC FLIGHTS

a variety of flights ranging from an eight-minute buzz over the first gorge (per person
$85) to an 18-minute flight over all 13 gorges ($232). The Adventure Swim Tour ($449)
drops you at a secluded swimming hole for an hour or so, and there are broader tours that
take in Aboriginal rock-art sites and Kakadu National Park. Book at the Nitmiluk Centre.
4 Sleeping
There are bush-camping sites for overnight walkers throughout the park, and permanent
camping grounds near the Nitmiluk Visitor Centre and at Leliyn (Edith Falls). The excit-
ing new Cicada Lodge is due to open in 2013.

a kiosk by the good-lookin' swimming pool. Wallabies and goannas are frequent visitors.
There's a 'tent village' here with permanent safari tents sleeping two people. Book at the
Nitmiluk Centre.

Next door to the caravan park, these cabins are a serviceable choice if you'd rather have
a solid roof over your head (and a flat-screen TV). Access to all the caravan park facilit-
ies (pool, BBQs, kiosk etc).

) Under construction at the time of research, this luxury lodge, also near the visitor
centre, has been architecturally designed to meld modern sophistication and traditional
Jawoyn themes. It will have just 18 luxury rooms overlooking the Katherine River. Pack-
ages including gorge and dinner cruises will be available.

7am-6pm) has excellent displays and information on the park's geology, wildlife, the tra-
ditional owners (the Jawoyn) and European history. There's also a restaurant here
