Beer Can Regatta LOCAL CULTURE

races for boats made out of beer cans. It takes places at Mindil Beach in July and is a
good, fun day.
Royal Darwin Show AGRICULTURAL

nellie on the last weekend of July. Plenty of rides, demonstrations, competitions and
pampered farm animals.
Darwin Cup Carnival HORSE RACING
( www.darwinturfclub.org.au ) The Darwin Cup racing carnival takes place in July and August
at the Darwin Turf Club in Fannie Bay. The highlight of the eight-day program is the
running of the Darwin Cup, along with the usual fashion and frivolities.
