In-Depth Information
An incubator is an instrument used mostly in biological studies which can
maintain optimal temperature, humidity, and other conditions for growth of
microbiological or cell culture. BOD incubator is an incubator designed to
maintain 20 C temperature necessary to perform a test called biochemical
oxygen demand (BOD). It involves incubating samples saturated with
oxygen at 20 C temperature (usually) for 5 days. There are other incubators
designed to maintain temperatures of 5 C or more above ambient to as high
as 100 C to study the growth of organisms of under temperate or tropical
condition. Incubators designed to maintain temperatures below ambient to
as low as about 10 C are generally called low-temperature incubators
Orbital shaking
incubator
This is a special type of incubator useful for life sciences applications,
fermentation studies, aging tests, growth studies, and biological cultures
under various controlled temperature conditions. Advanced shaking
mechanism provides quiet shaking and precise speed control with digital
