While using pH meters depending upon the type, one should be careful on
the following points: (a) stabilization of solution is required before taking
reading, (b) better to keep the electrodes deep in buffer of 7.00 pH solution
when not in use, (c) the pH meter must be calibrated using standard
solution before unknown solution is measured, and (d) temperature of the
solution also plays an important role in accurate measurement of pH
