(a) The CO
2
is captured from a coal gasifi cation facility located in Buelah, North Dakota.
The gas is compressed to a liquid phase and transported via a 320 km pipeline to
the Weyburn and Midale oil fi elds for injection.

(b) Cenovus' Weyburn fi eld and Apache's Midale fi eld are located in southeast
Saskatchewan, Canada. This project represents the fi rst time that an anthropogenic
