massive quantities continuously through devices while they are subject
to chemistry, thermodynamics, and mass transport between phases.
The idea of absorption is simple: if we have a solvent with a different
solubility for CO 2 and N 2 , we can design a separation process such that
the exhaust and the fl ue gasses have the composition we desire.
However, depending on the type of solvent, the size of the separation
