Environmental Engineering Reference
In-Depth Information
as sludges, dust, waste water, and gaseous emissions would be necessary to make estimates of
regeneration efficiency. Such information is generally considered as proprietary.
With respect to the choice by petroleum refineries, the location of Regeneration Company may
be a decisive factor. Thus, refiner has to deal with fewer environmental and safety issues in the
case, that regeneration company is located in the refinery proximity. Accordingly, some
regeneration companies either relocated their operation or constructed a new plant in the
regions with large petroleum refining capacities, i.e., a large volume of spent catalysts
requiring regeneration, available.
