To help you easily sort through these listings, I've divided the accommodations
into three categories, based on the price for a standard double room with bath:

Moderately Priced —Most rooms between £40-80.

Lower Priced —Most rooms £40 or less.

$$ Travelodge has 44 comfortable rooms, a great location, and a handy adjacent park-
ing garage—but beware of large, loud party groups on weekends (Db-£55 Sun-Thu, Db-
£65-80 Fri-Sat, occasional online discounts if you book ahead, continental breakfast-£7,

$ Paddy's Palace Hostel rents 40 decent beds for £12-15 a night with breakfast.
Look for the green-and-beige building, and pause to read the great Mark Twain quote
above the front door (4-6 beds/room, family rooms with private bathroom for up to four-

They also have a couple of self-catering apartments nearby, and Stephen offers walking

Eating in Derry
The Custom House Restaurant & Wine Bar is the classiest place in town, serving
great £14-19 meals and a selection of fine wines in a posh, calm space. It faces the river
half a block from the Guild Hall (Mon-Sat 12:00-14:30 & 17:30-21:30, Sun 15:00-21:00,
Queens Quay, tel. 028/7137-3366).
The hip, trendy Exchange Restaurant and Wine Bar offers £7-10 lunches and quality
£12-16 dinners with flair, in a central location near the river behind Waterloo Place (Mon-
Sat 12:00-14:30 & 17:30-22:00, Sun 16:00-21:00, Queen's Quay, tel. 028/7127-3990).
