Shopping Mall: Victoria Square is a glitzy American-style mall. Its huge glass dome
reflects Belfast's economic rejuvenation. For fine city views, ride the free elevator
to the observation platform high up inside the dome (Mon-Tue 9:00-19:00, Wed-Fri
9:00-21:00, Sat 9:00-18:00, Sun 13:00-18:00; 3 blocks east of City Hall—bordered by
Chichester, Victoria, Ann, and Montgomery streets; www.victoriasquare.com ).
Phone Tips: To call the Republic of Ireland from Northern Ireland, dial 00-353, then the
area code without its initial 0, and finally the local number. To call Northern Ireland
from the Republic of Ireland, dial 048, and then the local eight-digit number.
Internet Access: Belfast's Internet cafés are here-today, gonetomorrow ventures operat-
ing on a shoestring. The TI offers dependable Internet access at a half-dozen handy

Post Office: The main post office, with lots of fun postcards, is at the intersection of High
and Bridge Streets (Mon-Fri 9:00-17:30, Sat 9:00-12:30, closed Sun, 3 long blocks

and a third location lurks north of City Hall, at the corner of High and North Streets
(all same hours).
