The simpler way is to get married in a civil ceremony by a justice of the
peace or a municipal judge before you leave home, then have a religious
service on Aruba. In that case, couples simply contact the church and gov-
ernment officials in advance, and present proof of their marriage once they
arrive on the island.
Every religion has a different set of regulations for church marriage cere-
monies. Confirm the following information with a church official on the
island well in advance of the wedding day.
Catholic Church
The bride and groom must provide proof that they attended pre-wedding
preparation at their home parish.
The couple must bring a permit for marriage in Aruba from their parish
priest.
The couple must present an official form stating that neither of them has
ever been married in a church ceremony.
A minimum donation of $70 must be made to the church.
A priest will not perform a religious wedding outside of the church
building.
