Tip: Scan all your important travel papers, driver's
license and credit cards into your computer and e-
mail the document to yourself. If something is lont
or stolen, you can print a copy from any Internet
cafée in the world.
Protect the Kids
The Netherlands Antilles, like many other countries, strives to
prevent international child abduction by requiring anyone travel-
ing with a minor to provide documentary evidence of relationship
and permission for the child to travel from the parent or legal
guardian, if they are not present. Travelers may also be asked to
present these documents when they return to their own country.
Carrying these documents when you vacation with a child may
prevent travel delays and inconveniences.
Visas
Citizens of most countries do not need a visa to enter Aruba or the Nether-
lands Antilles as a tourist for a stay of up to 14 days. Stays of more than
two weeks, but fewer than 90 days, require special clearance by an Immi-
gration official upon arrival.
Visas are required for anyone staying more than 90 days and for all citi-
zens of Albania, Bulgaria, Cambodia, China, Cuba, Dominican Republic,
Haiti, Libya, North Korea, Romania, the countries of the former Soviet
Union, and the countries of the former Yugoslavia.
Request a visa for extended visits and direct immigration questions to the
Department of Foreign Affairs in Aruba, J.E. Irausquinplein 2-A,
