Built in 1797 by the Dutch to protect Curaçao from foreign attack, Fort
Nassau is now recognized as a national monument and one of the best
restaurants on the island. It sits on a hilltop overlooking the city and
harbor (the harbor master still signals ships from here) and presents
visitors with dazzling 360
vistas of the island and sea. Main courses focus
on grilled meats and fish with innovative sauces. The appetizers, soups,
and desserts are amazing. Complement your choices with one of the fine
wines.
