Reservations recommended
When this restaurant says international, they mean literally worldwide.
The soup menu alone includes French onion, oriental vegetarian, and sopa
de mariscos a la Catalana. Main courses go from Texas prime rib to Japa-
nese shrimp sakura. Unfortunately, the wine and beer lists are not so
broad. The view from the restaurant's deck built out over the water is
stunning.

With only eight tables, reservations are a must at this little bistro in an old
house at the eastern edge of town. The food is terrific. Order something
grilled. Ostrich, maybe? Other choices include poached salmon and veal in
a red wine sauce. Of course, the wine list is lengthy and includes a variety
of vintages from France, Italy, California, Australia, and Chile.

Reservations highly recommended
The Riffort on the Otrobanda waterfront is currently being developed into
a world-class shopping and dining mall. Bistro Le Clochard has been on
the lower level of the old fort for more than 20 years. It's a popular upscale
place with a creative menu that features monthly surprises. The seafood
and meat courses are outstanding, but for something different, try the fon-
due. The wine list and desserts meet all expectations.
