good one to try. The newly-opened $6 million resort shares a white-sand

Next door to the Seaquarium and Seaquarium Beach, just five miles east
of Willemstad, Lions Dive enjoys a 15-year reputation as a serious scuba
resort catering mostly to Dutch visitors. North Americans are discovering
its attributes as Curaçao's tourism grows. Guests receive a card when they
register that allows them free use of Seaquarium's long white-sand beach.
The on-site Ocen Encounters Dive Center is an excellent five-star
PADI facility run by a friendly multilingual staff. Ask for a room with a
balcony overlooking the sea and, for more space, inquire about the new
ocean-view cabanas and two-bedroom apartment. The lobby and Rumors
Restaurant are open-air, casual, and nicely decorated. This is a family-
friendly resort, so romantic couples and people who like a lot of quiet time
may want to book elsewhere.
