water surface at sheltered bays on Curaçao. Rent a board
and head to secluded Playa Konao on the windward side,
which is popular with local surfers on the weekend, but fairly
deserted during the week. Beginners feel safer in the shel-
tered bay at Spanish Waters . Another choice is Mambo Beach , near the
Seaquarium, where you'll have plenty of company. Board and sail rentals
run around $15 per hour, and you'll need to leave a deposit of about $60.
Rental and lessons are available at the Seaquarium Beach from Top
Watersports Curaçao ,
