Island specialties are the highlight at this casual courtyard restaurant
patronized by locals. You know you're getting the real thing here: home-
made stews, fried fish, garlic-laced shrimp. Everything comes with sides
such as funchi and rice. Notice the small collection of island memorabilia
and furniture near the entrance.

Since the recent renovation, this waterfront villa is one of the most roman-
tic places to enjoy a candlelight dinner under the stars. The owner and
chef, Lucille, considers her cooking “contemporary French-Oriental.” That
translates to an interesting mix of dishes such as Escargot
Bourguignonne, Thai Curry, and West Indian Biryani. Everything comes
with delicately seasoned rice and stir-fried vegetables. Happy hour runs
from 5 until 6 pm.

The casual atmosphere and delicious food make this a popular spot with
locals and visitors. You may find yourself rushing through your meal so
you can get next door to order a scoop of gelato, but take time to relax on
the patio with your Dutch-style meal first. (The roasted chicken and fries
are excellent.)
