Italian is done well at this cozy bistro. Whether it's pizza for lunch or
homemade pasta for dinner, you won't be disappointed. If you're really
hungry, go for the grand tour, a five-course gourmet meal you won't forget.
The wine selection is one of the best on the island, and the knowledgeable
staff will help you choose the perfect bottle to complement your meal. Des-
serts and bread are homemade, so save room for one.

You never know what to expect at this old-world Dutch-style restaurant,
because the chef creates the menu weekly around whatever is plentiful
and delicious. Though the owners are Dutch, the meals tend toward
French-influenced cuisine. If you sit in the bar, you may order a fixed-price
dinner. Otherwise, ask your server what Chef Douwe suggests. The wine
list is extensive. Some patrons come in only to enjoy a good bottle of wine
and the European ambience, and the bar is open from 4 pm to 2 am
weekdays.

Local art decorates this casual, lively bar and restaurant owned and oper-
ated by a husband-and-wife team. Home cooking Italian style is the theme
and they carry it off well. Pizza and pasta are terrific, but try the seafood
dishes, or the traditional osso bucco. Happy hour runs from 6 until 7 pm,
and little snacks ( assagi ) are served at the bar all night.
