This gorgeous 56-foot ketch is a real eye-catcher. If you see it gliding past,
sails billowing in the wind, grab a camera. Better yet, call for a reservation
with the Dutch owner, Robert (a PADI dive master), and his multilingual
crew. They sail to CuraƧao, Venezuela, the archipelagos of Las Aves, and
around the island at sunset. Snorkel sails run $40 and a six-hour day-trip
is in the $60 range.

New to the island, this trimaran allows passengers a space-age view of life
under the sea. A roomy glass-enclosed air-conditioned observation deck
extends under the water, while a shaded sundeck provides topside com-
fort. Half-day cruises run weekdays and are priced at $49; all-day Satur-
day-trips cost $79; sunset wine-and-cheese sails are Tuesdays and
Thursdays for $35; the rate for night snorkeling excursions is $30.

Dedrie and Ulf Pedersen, from Trinidad, own the Woodwind and sail the
classy trimaran around Bonaire on cruises lasting from three to five hours.
Klein is a must-do stop but, depending on the day, the Woodwind usually
stops at a second location to look for turtles and sea creatures. A buffet
lunch, cold drinks and open bar are included in the slow-go trip.
