By Bicycle, Scooter & Motorcycle
Bonaire is small and flat, with little traffic, so visitors some-
times use bikes or motorcycles for basic transportation. Oth-
ers enjoy exploring the countryside on bicycles. Six marked
bike trails are laid out along the coast and through the
national park. Local bike shops conduct guided tours.
TIP: See Biking , page 185, for trail information.
Rates are about $10 per day for a three-speed bike, $15-$20 for a 21-speed
bike, $28 for a scooter, $50 for a motorcycle, and $100 for a Harley. Some
resorts have bikes for the use of their guests, and you can rent motorized
and peddle-powered two-wheelers from the following shops.
