In-Depth Information
The big draw here is fish, alive and quite recently deceased. Huge saltwa-
ter aquariums are built into the walls of one dining room, and a large tropi-
cal fish tank dominates another. The menu features all kinds of seafood,
from crabmeat cocktail to broiled lobster tail. Meat lovers have a choice of
steak, pork chops, and broiled chicken.

Make reservations early
during high season. This
fetching dome covers four
dining areas, three
indoor, and a terrific out-
door terrace with a view
of the Caribbean. The
menu changes fre-
quently, but count on
exquisite sauces over
duck, lamb, seafood, and
the best cuts of beef. Dur-
ing high season, you can
book a three-course din-
ner cruise with the same excellent cuisine.

This is your chance to get inside one of the island's well-preserved old
manor houses. The Ellis family has fixed up their 150-year-old home, air-
conditioned the indoor dining area, and set tables around the garden
swimming pool. Award-winning family chefs prepare delicious seafood
dishes, including the Clay Pot for two (seafood, veggies, and herbs steamed
at 600
in a handmade pot). A few chicken and beef choices even out the
menu. The food and atmosphere have earned the restaurant membership
in the prestigious Chaine des Rotisseurs.
