dations paradise. Well off the beach,
but sometimes with a view of the water,
the privately owned two- , three-and
four-bedroom villas and condos have
spacious living areas, well-equipped
kitchens, extra bathrooms, and shaded
patios. Most people who stay here take
advantage of unlimited play on the
Palm Springs-like championship golf
course and take the complimentary
shuttle to nearby Arashi Beach
between tee times. Some of the villas
have their own pool, and all guests may
use the resort pool and lighted tennis
courts. See Where to Eat , page 132, for

Compared to most other resorts on the island, this one looks a bit dull.
However, it has everything you need, and the mostly young, mostly Euro-
pean crowd that stays here has a marvelous time - especially during Car-
nival, when they have a spectacular view of the parade route. Rooms are
basic, but clean and well maintained. Guests get free admission to the
Havana Nightclub (known for great happy hours) and the private
Havana Beach Club (with a dive shop and snack bar/grill), across the
street. Rooms surround an Olympic-sized, palm-shaded pool, and there is
an on-site restaurant.
