SunSpree is the trademark of upscale Holiday Inn resorts in prime vaca-
tion locations. They feature extra amenities, such as watersports, kids'
programs, and health spas. Rooms in this seven-story multi-tower resort
are nicely decorated in upgraded SunSpree style. A recent multi-million
dollar update added an activities center, game room, beach-side restau-
rant/ice cream bar, an entertainment deck around the large pool, a totally
remodeled lobby and Intermezzo Day Spa. In addition, guests enjoy four
lighted tennis courts, a beach volleyball court, a bocce court, and a fitness
center. The location, between the giant Marriott complex and huge Playa
Linda, is terrific, and the resort bustles with active families from dawn to
late-night. Parents get a break by enrolling kids five to 12 years of age in
the Little Rascals activities program. Quiet escape is found in hammocks
hanging between tall palms on beautifully landscaped grounds. Be pre-
pared for a line at check-in and for seating in the restaurants during meal
times.
