Java Enterprise runtime
Java Enterprise runtime consists of several lower-level sub-
systems, referred to as managers. This group of managers provides core functions for
runtime, such as class loading, port management, and so on.

Java system components
This includes interfaces, libraries and services, HTTP pro-
vider, security provider, and so on.

Applications
These are implemented as containers. Some of the examples are Web
container (servlet and JSP), EJB container (EJB), and JDBC (Java Database Con-
nectivity).
Java System Administration Tools
SAP provides several tools for administering the Java components. The most important
tools are Visual Administrator, Configuration (Config) tool, and NetWeaver Administrator
tool (NWA). Starting with the NW 7.1 release the Visual Administrator tool was phased out
