Copying Database Files from the Source to the Target System
SAPinst will start the im-
port steps, and during the course of the process will stop and present the following screen.
Copy the database files from the source system to the target system as per the secure copy
procedure discussed earlier. Once the copy is done, click the OK button. The remaining
steps of the homogeneous system copy will be completed, and you will see a message noti-
fying you that the copy is complete.

Post-System Copy Steps
After the system copy is completed you will be able to start the target SAP system with the
new SID, but you still need to perform additional post-copy steps before you can release the
system to the end users. Some of the more important steps are discussed in
Table 27-4
. Most

.
