dump for the Java component of the application. This will be copied to the target system and
SAPinst will use Software Deployment Manager (SDM) to import the dump file during the
import process. In newer dual-stack system releases this step is not needed, as SAP is stor-
ing everything in the database and the offline Oracle backup method will copy everything
from the source system to the target system. The export dump can be written to the same
directory created earlier on the source system at /oracle/KB1/sapreorg/export. Ensure at
least 2GB of free space before starting the export process. The following procedure explains
the details for executing the export step using the SAPinst tool. This will take approximately
30 minutes.
1. Log in as root and start the SAPinst tool from the installation master DVD by running
./sapinst.
