Restarting the Upgrade GUI
Upgrade GUI can be restarted by executing the startup script from the upgrade directory
located at /usr/sap/<sid>/upg/STARTUP.
The following figures and illustrations will provide a sample of each of the upgrade
roadmap steps in a dual-stack upgrade. The upgrade program will switch between the two
stack upgrades, and synchronization of upgrades between the ABAP and Java stacks is per-
formed automatically by the Upgrade GUI tool.
Figure 26-3
shows the extraction phase of the upgrade. The Upgrade GUI is asking for
the DDIC password.

Once this is entered, click Next and the Upgrade GUI will request for the following in
subsequent screens. Enter the requested information and keep clicking the Next button.
• Upgrade keyword
• Mount points of the upgrade software downloaded earlier
• Solution Manager key

shows that the ABAP stack configuration steps have been completed suc-
cessfully.
