this file change the parameter backup_type to offline_force. Once this is done, the system is
ready for a complete offline backup. Regardless of how the BRBACKUP job is scheduled,
similar steps are executed and the datafiles, log files, control files, and parameter files are
backed up.
Log in to the system as ora<SID> account, and execute the command brtools as shown in
Figure 21-2
.
The initial BRTOOLS menu will appear. Choose option 4 (Backup And Data-
base Copy) and press enter to go to the next screen.

From the Backup And Database Copy menu choose option 1, as shown in
Figure 21-3
. In
the next screen, the backup mode can be changed from online to offline_force.
