Datafile Naming Conventions
Naming Conventions for Redo Log Files
Redo log files are created at the time of the installation in the form of groups. Four redo log
groups are created, each with a set of two redo log files. As shown in
Table 20-3
, the odd-
numbered redo log files are grouped under origlogA and mirrlogA file systems, and even-
numbered redo log files are grouped under origlogB and mirrlogB file systems.
