Monitoring the Architecture
The monitoring architecture is built into SAP systems and is part of the standard installation.
This helps the infrastructure team start monitoring the system right after the installation.
However, it would be time-consuming to monitor each of the newly installed SAP systems.
In order to monitor all the systems for a given customer, SAP provides a central monitoring
infrastructure that uses the agents installed in the satellite systems to send monitoring data to
the central system. The alerts can be configured to be sent to the infrastructure team via an
e-mail distribution list.
