Three Kinds of Configuration in Visual Administrator
The following is a list of the three kinds of configuration options that are available with the
Visual Administrator tool:
• Global configuration option only
• Global configuration with local maintenance option
• Local (cluster element level) configuration option only
Global Configuration Option Only
In this option the changes are performed at the global property level only, as shown in Fig-
ure 15-8 . In this example the global server parameter Max Thread Count under Thread Man-
ager is changed. The changes are performed by entering the changed value in the Value field
at the bottom of the screen and clicking the Update button. This will transfer the setting that
has been entered in the Value field at the bottom of the screen to the Value section in the
properties in the upper section of the screen. Saving the changes and restarting the cluster
will complete the parameter change process at the global level.
