eration mode switch, and only the work process types are switched. In order to set up opera-
tion modes, first we have to set up an operation mode timetable and then configure the work
process distribution based on the operation mode timetable. The system will switch the
work processes based on the operations modes timetable without shutting down the instance
or changing the profile parameter values.
Operation Modes Timetable
The operation modes timetable can be maintained by using transaction code SM63. Choose
the change option in transaction SM63, and maintain the operation modes timetable as
shown. The start and end times can be marked for assignment to an operation mode name by
double-clicking the start time row and double-clicking the end time row. The entire time
range will be marked in black. Once the assignment is complete, the table will be as shown.
This example has night and day operation modes defined in the operation modes timetable.
