Update Work Processes
The update work processes perform the asynchronous database updates in the SAP system.
There are two kinds of update work processes: Update (V1) and Upd2 (V2). There are usu-
ally several update processes configured for each application server. The number of update
work processes on a given application server is controlled by the rdisp/wp_no_vb parameter
value for V1 updates and the rdisp/wp_no_vb2 parameter value entered in the instance pro-
file for V2 updates.
