SAP Web Dispatcher Installation
As the <SID>adm user account, create a directory called sapwebdisp under the /usr/ sap/
<SAPSID> path of the SAP server. Then download the latest version of the SAP Web Dis-
patcher SAR file (wdispadmin.sar) from the SAP Service Marketplace based on the kernel
release of your system. It is also possible to copy the older versions of the SAR file from the
already installed SAP kernel directory to the newly created sapwebdisp directory. Once this
step is complete, extract the wdispadmin.sar file in the sapwebdisp directory using the com-
mand SAPCAR -xvf wdispadmin.sar. Once the files are extracted, the next step is the boot-
strapping process.
SAP Web Dispatcher Bootstrapping
When SAP Web Dispatcher is started for the very first time, it has to be bootstrapped using
the following command. This will bootstrap the SAP Web Dispatcher and in the process
generate a configuration file called sapwebdisp.pfl.
