Add-On Installation
SAP add-ons are additional enhancements to the standard SAP system. Starting with SAP
Business Suite 7, most add-ons are already installed as part of the standard ERP install.
However, there are still a few add-ons for the NetWeaver installation, such as BI content,
that have to be applied after the installation using the SAP Add-On Installation tool with
transaction code SAINT. Add-on-related SAR files are downloaded from the SAP Software
Download Center and are extracted using the SAPCAR utility to the /usr/sap/trans/EPS/ in
directory, as described in the earlier section. Once extracted, the add-on files can be applied
