Children are highly valued in South Korean society.
Kids who are of preschool age and younger are the easiest to move with in the sense that
they're not likely to have formed strong attachments to friends or places. While there's a
fairly wide variety of toys, clothing, and baby-related necessities available in South Korea
at very reasonable prices, be sure to bring some of your own, especially if you or your child
are attached to certain brands, since exact matches may be impossible to find.
There are expatriate-oriented play groups in most major cities that bring toddlers togeth-
er, as well as plenty of good affordable local preschools if you don't mind immersing your
