paperwork they'll need—nationals of the United States, Canada, and most European coun-
tries are permitted to visit without a visa for periods of between three and six months. Try
to travel on a passport that's valid for at least another six months—this isn't a strict require-
ment, but those that expire sooner tend to attract more attention from immigration officials,
and you'll need one anyway when you eventually apply for a long-term visa.
