The 6 offtakes are grouped in two groups, namely Group A with
the offtakes 1, 3 and 6 and Group B with the offtakes 2, 4 and 5 (see
Figure 7.22). The flow in the reach AB is the same for the rotational and
continuous flow during a period of 10 days.
The deposition during the irrigation season of 50 days is determined
for the entire canal ABCDEF and for the two scenarios. The water level
regulators are set every 5 days for the rotational flow in the main canal
and every 10 days for continuous flow in the canal. The same applies to
the offtakes that are set every 5 days for the rotational flow.
