they are still costly and difficult to design and
produce, especially for educational organizations
in the developing nations.
I believe that, in order to better employ edu-
cational MUVEs, there is still an important need
for research to be done to 1) better understand the
social implications on learning that characterize
a MUVE, especially considering cultural differ-
ences between students; 2) create instructional
design models for developing MUVEs that, still
being theoretically well based, are less complex
and costly to develop.
