That said, Budapest's backstreets and historic quarters are eminently suited to walking, and
this is much the best way to appreciate their character. Moreover, traffic is restricted in down-
town Pest and around the Vár in Buda, and fairly light in the residential backstreets off the
main boulevards, which are the nicest areas to wander around. The

entitles
you to two free guided walks, one of Buda, one of Pest.

ber, there's a standard four-hour bike tour (€20) which departs at 11am daily (March &
Nov Fri-Sat only). They also offer two-hour Segway tours (€60) - all year-round - on the
strange-looking, two-wheel Segway bikes.

two lines, both of which depart every thirty minutes; red from József Nádor tér, and yellow
from Erzsébet tér. Tickets (5000Ft) are valid on both lines for 48 hours. They also do a hop-
on hop-off cruise departing hourly from Vigadó tér (3000Ft). April-Oct.
