the Rác has become entombed in a luxury hotel that is waiting to open; there is some ac-
tion at the Rudas but it is all very discreet. One reason for this decline is that gays can meet
elsewhere - cruising bars, or in private saunas such as Magnum that offer dedicated facilities
to gay visitors. However, the sun terrace at the Palatinus strand and the roof terrace at the
Széchenyi remain popular meeting places.
