Most of the larger hotels and some of the shopping malls have
them - they are properly regulated, unlike some of the backstreet ones, and are open to non-
residents.
Ice-skating
During winter, there's skating at the City Park ice rink by Hősök tere in the
Városliget (mid-Nov to Feb Mon-Fri 9am-1pm & 4-8pm, Sat & Sun 10am-2pm & 4-8pm);
entry costs around 1500Ft, and skates can be rented. Or there's the Buda Ice Rink (Budai Jég-
pálya) at Széna tér in Buda (Oct-April daily 8am-10pm); entry 1400Ft, skates can be rented.
Skiing
If it's a snowy winter, you can ski at Normafa in the Buda Hills, best reached on
bus #21A from Széll Kálmán tér. Equipment can be rented from Suli Sí by the entrance
