FLEA MARKETS
Ecseri market (Használtcikk piac) XIX, Nagykőrösi út; bus #84E from the Határ út metro
stop on the blue line, or bus #54 from Boráros tér by Petőfi híd; map . On the southeast edge
of the city, this has become a well-known spot for tourists - and for ripping them off (you'll
need to bargain hard). Stalls sell everything from bike parts and jackboots to peasant clothing
and hand-carved pipes, with a few genuine antiques among the tat. The food on offer is fairly
basic. Mon-Fri 8am-4pm, Sat 6am-3pm, Sun 9am-1pm.
GardróbSecondHandandVintageClothing VII, Király utca 8; map . The idea behind this
“community market” in the Central Passage outside the Gödör Klub is that anyone can take
a table and sell off their old clothes, bags and accessories. So join the locals and spot those
gems. Sat 11am-4pm.
Petőfi Csarnok XIV, Zichy Mihály utca 14; map . A weekend flea market in and around the
“Pecsa”, the ugly cultural centre on the edge of the Városliget, this is smaller than Ecseri,
and less established. Lots of the wares are junk, but there are some good bargains too. 150Ft
entry. Sun 8am-2pm.
