though far from pretentious, wine bar, which looks all the better for its exposed brickwork.
Some two hundred varieties of Hungarian wine are available by the glass, each costing
between 850-1400Ft - and the meat and cheese plates are delicious. Wine-tasting sessions

Another thoughtfully contrived bar, Garzon takes its cue from the 1970s. The whole space
is fitted out to resemble an apartment from that era; gaudy wallpaper, household appliances
plastered to the walls, and a corner kitchen complete with checked tablecloth and red-and-
white enamel tiles. The beer and the music are pretty decent too. Mon-Thurs 4pm-2am,
Fri-Sat 4pm-3am, Sun 4pm-midnight.

whose moniker, “The Enchanted Forest”, suits it well; surveying the vast central courtyard
are herds of rabbits suspended in mid-air, a cat-woman-sphinx figure and other fantastical
creatures. Meanwhile, some twenty rooms (many bizarrely themed), half a dozen bars and
three dance floors lend the place a rollicking party vibe. Daily 4pm-6am.

namefromthedistinctive Hungariangrape,thiscolourfulmodernwinebarhasayouthfulap-
peal. It's mainly Hungarian wines on offer, and at reasonable prices. You can also buy bottles
to take away. Their food is as good as the wine - with snacks as well as light meals. Daily
4pm-midnight.

of the type of bar to be found across Andrássy út on Liszt Ferenc tér, Kiado has few pre-
tensions, with its laid-back feel, small tables and cosy gallery. Full bar menu available too.
