HOSTELS
Most hostels offer a combination of same- and mixed-sex dorms, in addition to private rooms
(singles or doubles) at much the same price as hotel or pension accommodation. Student
dormitories - many of them located in the university area south of Gellért-hegy - are open
during July and August only. As well as the year-round

You can't be sure of getting a bed in the hostel of your choice in summer without
booking
in
advance. Note that many of Pest's hostels are in residential blocks - exceptions being
Marco
Polo
and
City Hostel Pest
- therefore rowdy guests are generally frowned upon. Most hostels
have wi-fi, as well as laundry facilities (for which there's usually a charge of around €5).
