Above the café of the
same name, the nineteen elegant
Gerlóczy
rooms all lead off a spiral staircase topped by a
coloured glass skylight. The rooms are colour themed according to floor (grey, blue, red and
yellow-green from the bottom upwards), though all have similar fixtures and fittings - high
doors and ceilings, parquet flooring and gorgeous, brass-fitted bathrooms, some with claw-
foot tubs, some with showers only. Two rooms have small balconies looking out over the

money places in the city, especially if
you can nab one of the slightly cheaper attic rooms.
