By plane There are daily flights from Albrook airport in Panama City ($84 one way).
Community tax Visitors to Playón Chico need to sign in at the police station at the wharf

There is limited accommodation on Playón Chico, with most tourists ferried out to the relat-
ively swish lodgings situated on tiny private islands a 5min boat ride from Playón Chico.

cabañas with private balcony and bathroom sit over the water, while three slightly cheaper
rooms are set further back. The tiny island, with a small beach and nearby reef, has a breezy
waterside rancho -restaurant with full bar, which serves excellent seafood-based cuisine, and
service is friendly and attentive. Costs include two daily excursi ons with an English-speaking
guide, but not the community fee ($10). Credit cards accepted. $134 /person

The most luxurious accommodation in the comarca , though overpriced, consisting of a hand-
ful of spacious bamboo twin cabins (for 2-4 people) decorated with Guna art, built over the
water and set round a grassy interior covering the entire coral outcrop of Iskardup. Each room
has a private balcony, hammock and tiled bathroom. A well-stocked bar-lounge area com-
pleme nts t he top-notch over-the-water restaurant-gazebo. Discounts for three-night stays or
