Maria's by the Sea This inn has long been a local favorite and attracts lots of
repeat visitors attracted to its setting and its helpful, friendly staff. Right in the heart
of Road Town, this hotel has a certain Caribbean charm, boasting little balconies that
open right onto the harbor. At night, you can enjoy the harbor lights and the sound of
the lapping waves from your balcony perch. During the day, you'll find it's a 10- to
20-minute drive to the nearest beach. The allure of the fairly minimalist bedrooms is
the sea breeze that seems to blow here constantly. All units include a kitchenette, a
balcony, and a small bathroom. Maria, the owner and manager, serves excellent local
Caribbean cuisine at her on-site restaurant. From her famous conch chowder to her
home-baked rolls fresh from the oven, dining here in the evening is a delight.
