Estate Lindholm Bed & Breakfast Located within the national park on
St. John's north shore, this guesthouse is just a 10-minute drive from the world-
famous beach at Trunk Bay. The island's best B&B grew out of an estate originally
settled by Dutch planters in the 1720s. Set among the Danish ruins, Estate Lindholm
is a charming guesthouse on a hill overlooking Cruz Bay, each of its nonsmoking
bedrooms opening onto a view. The spacious bedrooms are attractively and comfort-
ably furnished, many resting under ceiling beams. Guests can enjoy private balconies
as well. On the property is the Asolare restaurant, one of the island's best (p. 121).
The staff is helpful in hooking you up with any number of outdoor activities, includ-
ing everything from sea kayaking to windsurfing. The estate has been owned as a
residence by the Morrisette family since the 1950s.
